Carole King

Carole King is an American singer and songwriter. She had her first number 1 hit as a songwriter in 1960 at age 18, with “Will You Love Me Tomorrow“, which she wrote with Gerry Goffin her former husband.

In 2000, Joel Whitburn, a Billboard Magazine pop music researcher, named her the most successful female songwriter of 1955–99 because she wrote or co-wrote 118 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2005 music historian Stuart Devoy found her the most successful female songwriter on the UK singles charts 1952–2005.

Carole won four and four times being nominated for the Grammy awards. Also, she was honored twice: Grammy Trustees Award and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Carol was inducted three times for Grammy Hall of Fame 1998 and 2002.

BEAUTIFUL tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history.
